As for the meeting, the description I was given follows…

Ask the Experts – term used very loosely

Brigitte Fortin, Brandt Moran, Mike Badia, and Brian Leib are prepared to answer your most perplexing questions about Orchids. A survey of our members was conducted a few months back and this is a direct result of many queries from our many new members. Nothing is off limits but emphasis on culture/presentation/pests is expected. Bring your questions or better yet bring in your offending plants and let’s see what we can do to help you get the most out of your hobby! There’s a tremendous amount of talent in our society – let’s all see if we can tap into it a bit! Please feel free to bring plants if you have questions about them. If there is a possible insect pest or disease issue, please bring the questionable plants in a sealed plastic bag, clear if possible. Please consider bringing a snack for the meeting. You’ll get an extra raffle ticket and the gratitude of the society! It can be whatever you’d like, but please mention that you brought something to the person handing out the raffle tickets.
